Time influences

Ive been looking up other stopmotion videos and the thing I like most in them is a consistent rhythm and a flow throughout the video. as Im doing a stop motion video I wont have photographers as my main influences but Ill use videos and music. Heres a couple of videos that inspired my origonal idea of using lego and stopmotion as my medium. In the star wars video the thing I like about that is the fun the individual lego pieces are having as they roll around which is something I plan to emulate in my video. In the 8bit one the thing I like most about it is its sheer brilliance and perfection. I dont plan to be as perfect as that but its what inspired me to use this medium

Time

Ok so I have decided what I will be shooting with lego. Ive chosen to focus it around construction and growth. Spread over time with lego should work quite nicely. I plan to involve several different styles and things the legos going to do  such as growing as a flower or a plant and then snake the classic arcade game. Im going to have it growing over time so it starts as a few bricks that grows into a huge pile of lego that consumes everything.

Project 2: Time

Time, the second to last frontier. Ive been a bit lost with this project at points due to there deing just so many different ideas and ways to do this project. I have decided to do a stop motion video featuring none other than lego. I wont be using it as a set but the whole lego as a seething mass of entropy. Ill start by deciding what I want the lego to do then Ill make film strip for it. then when I HAVE my lego Ill start shooting.

Evaluation

Overall Im  quite happy with my project. Ive learned a lot about photography and Ive come up with some good images. I feel as though I not only learned some level of technical skill but I have also learned to communicate through an image which is something I have needed in erlier projects. I think that mytheme as 2 contrasting childhoods comes through strongly. I paid particular attention to what i had within the frame and excluding was just as important as including. I learnt a lot about lighting and tone in this project which is what led me to presenting the way I did in 2 contrasting childhoods.
Looking forward to project 2

reflections

After my 3rd and during my fourth shoot I decided to change my focus to showing the playground in two ways. one that evokes what I had planned to (neglect, loneliness blah blah blah) and then contrasting that with the exact opposite. Should be interesting.
